Sunset Lake in Holly Springs NC is such a beautiful lake.  I was compelled to paint this because of the way the sun was lighting up the treeline and reflecting in the water.  It was just a huge blast of color and hardly looked like a lake at all.  The boy fishing was so charming because  he reminded me that the simple joys of life are most precious.
